Do not post many messages , but am a daily reader-would like to recommend an audio-book available from the local library. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the classic(required reading back in the dark ages)"To Kill a Mockingbird", read by Sissy Spacek- it takes this wonderful book to another level. We are retired, do some traveling, and the audio-books are great- any suggestions for us? We have listened to quite a few mysteries, Grisham, DeMille, Coben etc. New ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

We listened to the Great Train Robbery on the way to TX this spring. Later watched the movie but were disappointed in that-- the book goes into such interesting stuff about the customs and mores of the times.

A really good one to listen to because it is slogging reading is How the Irish Saved Civilization. Fascinating bit of history.
I LOVE Robert Parker and his books that are read by Bert_____. He is the penultimate Spenser. Someone fill in the senior moment for me--Loni Anderson's hubby for a while

Just wondering - could Li or Robyn or other web goddess please collapse this thread into the other CT Book Club thread? Would save some confusion, and put all the book-related discussions into one easily accessed spot.
