Login should be resolved (post #70056, reply #2 of 10)
Login issues should be resolved now. Sorry for the inconvenience, everyone.
WHY DO YOU SAY THAT WITHOUT (post #70056, reply #3 of 10)
WHY DO YOU SAY THAT WITHOUT CHECKING. OR, how do you know. I still cannot log in with IE. GEEZ. ABSOBLOOMINlutely A-mazing.
Here's my test (post #70056, reply #4 of 10)
I changed to IE 8 and am posting using that right now. Unfortunately this means that we cannot recreate the issue. I am sorry to say that we cannot fix an issue we cannot replicate.
I would ask that you try posting from IE on another computer. If you can post, then there is an issue with the browser on your PC. If you haven't already done so, you should clear your internet cache, history, and cookies (and everything else you can check under the menue Tools>Delete Browsing History), restart your browser and try again after that.
Taking the trouble to switch (post #70056, reply #5 of 10)
Taking the trouble to switch to Mozilla to answer you. I really really don't care that much to go through the hoops that you describe. BUT since it has happened with others THAT WE KNOW OF, it IS a problem. Just add it to the list.
Since you are here, maybe you will tell us. Is this the final version of Cooks Talk. Robyn doesn't seem to know, or says it isn't or that maybe it is or something. Are we done? Will you remove the "beta version" above (which you only added when it became evident that it WAS a beta version of a bad program)
Anyway, traffic is in the days, weeks and months old. Does that tell you ANYthing. And yes, people regularly log in here, and find nothing to post to.
Did you try? (post #70056, reply #6 of 10)
Gretchen, did you try emptying your cache? It is a good trick to know for when your browser gets flaky-- as IE often does. If you are considering trashing IE, try Google Chrome-- it is very fast and easy to use. It would also be understandable if you gave up here...

Yes, I did. What they can't (post #70056, reply #7 of 10)
Yes, I did. What they can't seem to fathom is that I can "log in", and my profile does come up. But I can't reply or post. Doesn't matter.
What a pain... (post #70056, reply #8 of 10)
...wish I knew what would help. Well, not much to reply to here anyway.

Now there's a bounty paper (post #70056, reply #9 of 10)
Now there's a bounty paper towel banner ad displaying over the bottom of the page so that one can't access the last two folders in the discussion bar.
Refresh (post #70056, reply #10 of 10)
Any time a Google ad pops up that gets in the way, refreshing your page should do the trick.
