Double e-mail notification

ICDOCEAN1's picture

I consistantly receive two notifications of comment in my mail and it has been going on for quite some time.  Any way to figure out why?

Funny Gretchen (post #71565, reply #2 of 8)

What is happening is when you make a comment about my post, I receive notification twice.  Crazy.

Had moussaka for late lunch, even better leftovers.  My daughter loves Greek food so we might do a Greek dinner one night, grape leaves, baklava and all.  DH just recently got hooked on Greek salad, don't know what took him so long since I make it pretty often, probably when he made a salad change to his lunch at Panera.

Off to Idaho bright and early on Wednesday, passing through Charlotte airport and on to Denver, then Boise.  I swear they keep adding gates to terminal E in Charlotte by the dozens.  Are you going west for Christmas?  SIL is heading to Denver and once again mentioned Elway's, but be sure to make reservations that is his kind of restaurant.

We're here--went to Denver a (post #71565, reply #3 of 8)

We're here--went to Denver a couple of weeks ago. For a wonderful Greek salad I have a recipe that youmight be able to search for==Acropolis Greek salad. You mix some stuff together and then add the lettuce. It is GREAT for having at the beach for making as you go along. Let me know if you want the recipe. It is really as good as our Greek restaurants' offerings.

She could just go to Elway's and have a "something" in the bar. Look for "Lucy".  It's a BIG bill for a meal, but having a little something in the bar is delicious and fun.

Terminal E has to be a b   ch. Haven't done it, but for local connecting air, it is the terminal.  If it makes you feel any better (but not really since you are probably dealing with going from E to ----), we ALWAYS leave from the furthest gate. We really laugh about it.

Have fun. We'd love to fish out there sometime.

Greek Salad etc. (post #71565, reply #4 of 8)

I passed along the Elway's information.  Thanks Gretchen.

I'm always up for a good Greek Salad recipe, I checked Acropolis, not sure, is it in Epicurious?   Not sure why he all of a sudden likes Greek salad, but I'm just happy that he is having what I call a normal dressing instead of a "creamy" dressing.

Terminal E then to B, quite the trek, back in the "olden days" as the grands say, E had 1-4 gates, now two terminal branches and 30+ gates in one and 17 or so in the other.  On a good day we arrive at 17 and head to terminal B, departing is normally E29 as the routine goes.  I make the trip 3-4 times a year and DH once so he is always amazed with the number of new gates.  Sometimes as in tomorrow, our flight has to be the first one in and some of the moving sidewalks aren't up yet or broken, so that makes it worse.  I still walk the moving sidewalk for the most part, but at a leisurely pace,  I can stop if I want to, but never enough time to stop and sit in one of those inviting rockers along the way.  Maybe with luck the airport has run out of room to add on to the E area.

I'll be so happy when and if DD heads east for a few years, that is still on the career map, so I can shorten my travel time or maybe go someplace else for what it cost to fly to Idaho.

Denver (post #71565, reply #5 of 8)

SIL went to the Denver game this past weekend, so I missed him by a couple of days.  I'm sure he'll be back there for work or fun as he is a huge Bronco fan.  In the mean time, he would be the perfect person to show you Idaho as he is big into fishing + (fly fishing), hunting and knows all of Idaho.

As close as I'll get to Elway's is the airport tomorrow.  You have kids there in Denver, right?

Hope you have a great Christmas no matter what you do.

triple posts... or not! (post #71565, reply #7 of 8)

Okay, I made a couple of test posts and did not get triples.  Perhaps a temporary glitch.

Double notifications or none? (post #71565, reply #8 of 8)

I can't figure out which is worse, double notifications or the state of things at this time, no notifications at all...
