I'm sure it has been discussed to death, but I haven't discovered how to search the archives.  I'm considering the purchase of the Fine Cooking DVD, only because it would free up so much space on my bookshelves.  Has it been well received?

this will get you to the search.  It was never put on the home page.  It was easy for me to find this time because in my long day dyslexic mode I read save as search in another thread. You'll have to bookmark it or find this thread.

I think I remember reading that the original disc had some issues, though I can't remember what they were that were at least mostly fixed in the most recent version.

You are awesome.  Thank you (post #69311, reply #2 of 5)

You are awesome.  Thank you for that link!  There are several recipes I used from time to time and I just used the search function to find them.  Needless to say, I've been a bit lost without a word search function.

I was one of the "testers" of the disc and now can't remember what I reported about it.  I am just not so tied to FC recipes to use it much--and it was downloaded to an external hard drive because of the huge chunk of memory it took.

But perhaps you have solved the problem.  I would find the price daunting personally.  Sally did buy it She might be a better critic/proponent.  ;o)

You get to the same page by clicking on the little arrow to the right of the search box IF you leave the box blank.

I do remember my major (post #69311, reply #5 of 5)

I do remember my major criticism of the DVD now--you must download it to your computer--not just plug it in and use when you want to.  I would MUCH prefer that.
