I'm SOOOO Jealous!  It hasn't arrived in Baltimore yet.  The Quick and Delicious from last summer didn't arrive until 3 weeks after the rest of the world had it!!  Hurry....Hurry....

Y'know Adele, I'm thinking they should have put in the Chocolate Beignet recipe, a savory recipe using chocolate or chocolate drink (shake, soda etc). 75 recipes is very limited. They should have gone for a straight hundred<g>.

Co-workers snatched it, so I only got a quick glance. I AM getting it back tomorrow.

I am NOT a Luddite. I just happen to be very picky about which technology I embrace.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with parsley sauce, goat cheese garlic mashed potatoes, Galena Cellars Niagra grape wine & Pie Boss's apple crumble topped with Ruth & Phil's sour cream/cinnamon ice cream.

You brought it to work?  Arrrgh! I'm buying another as soon as it hits the stores, hopefully someone here will let me know when it gets to the bookstores.  I already know I'm going to get it messy.  :)

That's too funny, I did that with Martha Stewart Cookie magazine last year because I made such a mess out of it!  Of course it was late in the season so I drove myself crazy trying to locate another one but it was worth it.

It cam, it came!!  I'm so excited!  I probably have 90% or more of the recipes in the FC's stashed in the closet, but when I'm craving something chocolatey, I don't want to hunt.  These recipes look so-o-o good.

It sill hasn't reached Mass either in my mail or at any stores.  I'm getting pretty impatient.  I will probably pick up a second copy to save as I'm sure it will pretty much look like my Martha Stewart's cookie issue looked like.  How long do I wait before I contact FC, they didn't take anytime on billing me lol.

I live in MA, North of Boston.  Got it 2 days ago.  Maybe the holiday weekend slowed yours down?

We're in the North Shore suburbs about halfway between Boston and New Hampshire.

Bummer! Costco was on my list for today but after I got all the stuff for our Brazilian Visas straightened out I was tired and decided to come home and put my feet up. This resting thing is the pits. Gonna have to get to Costco tomorrow am for sure.

I have the magazine and it looks great, but was wondering if there is a substitute for the coffee that is used in some recipes?

plantlust's picture

Unless coffee is the predominant flavour of the recipe, you usually can just leave it out.  That being said, it DOES enhance the flavour of chocolate (as an avowed coffee hater, I can attest to that).

Hi, Judy, and welcome to CT.  Stick around, whether you like coffee or not, LOL.

Now I really am ticked!  You're already messing up your copy, and I don't even have one to look at.  It's now been 3 weeks and counting since I got billed for the d*mned thing, and there's no sign of it.  I'm in big frustration mode here...

Okay, mine finally came yesterday, and in a nice plastic protective cover, BUT with a 3/4" rip through the spine.

Who do I call to get a replacement (not just addressing Adele about this, of course)?

Call Taunton customer service.  They have always been very good about replacing things.  I once ordered the same book twice (senility bites), and they not only sent me a replacement, but told me to keep the duplicate and give it to a friend.

Thanks--will do.  I'm not normally picky about that sort of thing, but since it's through the spine it makes it difficult to open the magazine all the way.

Talked to Pat, and she's sending out another copy.  Should have it in 7-10 days.  Very pleasant exchange with no hassle--nice to find good customer service these days!

I had one come that had water damage and they were very good about replacing it. I'm absolutely anal about keeping the FC magazines pristine.
