Out of curiosity, how long is a topic left in the left hand column (post #69276)

before it goes back to the oblivion of the regular topic/threads? I ask because I kept hoping someone would read the post in the Abby Dodge thread from a newbie, that, of course, had nothing to do with Abby Dodge. I copied it and put it back up on the board.
But over on Knots, they seem to have lots of threads listed on the right, even though there isn't any more activity that here. But it might stimulate some --who knows.
ANyone from Taunton out there?

I'm here, Gretchen. We had a long holiday weekend, but we're back today.
The way it's working is that the most recent activity shows up in the "Discussions" block. Some people like seeing it, some don't, so one of the things the developers are working on is making that box customizable.
Thanks for bringing the concern about the pulled pork mac & cheese recipe to light in the Feedback on FC folder. If anyone sees a post out of place, you don't have to go through the extra effort of copy/paste; if you're inclined, you can drop me a note and I'll move it ASAP.

One day for it to drop out of "current and choice" seems a bit quick. That seems pretty "recent" particularly as the number of posts dwindles and dwindles. A week would be a long time--a day is not.
AND who is the "some" who don't like it--don't need names, but it is just not something I have noticed being discussed at all.

Thje discussion block is the ONLY thing I look at. Just need to make it reflect "new stuff to me" an we could eliminate the entire "new replies and new posts".
