So... where do you buy your cookbooks?

We discussed this from time to time-might be nice to put it all in one place.

I like to support Jessica's Biscuit. I'm impressed that they buy up out-of-print cookbooks and keep them in stock long after they're unavailable everywhere else. Here's the link to their site: http://www.ecookbooks.com/index.html

Jessica's Biscuit, occasionally The Good Cook, Half-Price Books, Amazon, Borders, Barnes & Noble (sale racks). Of them all, Amazon and Half-Price Books gets most of my business unless I want a hard-to-find book and then Jessica's wins.

Amazon (if I have a money-off cyber coupon); Jessica's Biscuit; yard Sales (some sweet vintage books have come my way); a retail bookstore if I'm handling a book I really love and want to own immediately (without looking for it online).

Don't forget Costco. Limited everchanging selection but the prices are unbeatable.

Darn it, Mean, I was just going to add that...I've found some great buys at Costco, including the French Laundry Cookbook for about half price. Speaking of half price, our local Half Price Books comes up with some real gems sometimes.

Mostly used, on-line, eg. half.com or The Good Cook (now on-line ordering available).

Oh boy, true confessions, LOL. I do that, too, especially if I'm not sure I'll remember the name to find it online. (Besides, I don't want bookstores to go away completely, so we have to give them SOME of our business)

Jean, could you post links to your favorites in this thread? You are always so amazing at finding a book, but have I ever copied your links? No...
