Don't get your knickers or thongs twisted in a knot, I'm not the only one who thinks this book is great. F&W did as well. It's from one of the women who did Diva Cooking, Jennifer Joyce. With all the requests latel for finger food, appetizers and poker player sustenance, this book is perfect. Great photos, great recipes, suggestions on menus, presentations, themes, do-ahead, even add ons that can be purchased at the deli.
I did a class from the book and bought it for myself. Try the cream of fennel soup with chilled grapes.

No twists here, and especially not thong twists.  Another good appy book is Hors D'Oeuvres by Eric Treuille & Victoria Blashford.  I got my crispy won-ton crescents from it.

But, but, it's SUPPOSED to taste like that!

Now you tell me! And I just used up my Amazon birthday gift certificate.
I'm severely appetizer impaired. I need all the help I can get.

I predict that we'll see an article or even a specialty book on appetizers from FC soon.

If they do, I hope the offerings are as modern, bright, smart, stylish and diverse as this book.

And, drumroll please, there's not one offering served on Belgian endive leaves. We've moved forward!

I ordered another book and it's your fault. I found one on amazon (used, for a total of $12.47 including shipping). I couldn't pass up the price. Someone help me please.

That's still coming and I got my 2nd  package from Nihon today.
I know, I'll just tell the old boy that I'm making sure I get what I want for my birthday.  That's the ticket. Yup! It's a harmless addiction though, isn't it. Think of all the $$ I saved by quitting smoking 25 years ago.  I'll bet I saved enough for all the books and new bookshelves too!

No knots here.

Not even in your back?  How are you feeling?

Long story, but no.  I have a pre surgery physical next week and then an appointment with the surgeon the week after.
