Tonight I made the Sea Scallops a la Plancha. DH arrived home with great looking large sea scallops and I happened to have cilantro for the green sauce. A simple recipe, just a good sear in a cast iron skillet for the scallops and a quick sauce of cilantro, garlic, serrano chile, toasted then ground cumin seeds, salt, olive oil whirled in the blender.
The sauce seemed more of a summer treatment to me. And I'm not sure I liked the raw garlic on the scallops. But they were great scallops!
