AJ12754's picture

Another great article from the food section of the LA Times -- this one is on the French "Joy of Cooking" -- the French cookbook that inspired Julia Child and Alice Waters has now been translated into English.

The title is La Bonne Cuisine de Madame E. Saint-Ange: The Original Companion for French Home Cooking.

Amazon has it.

Congratulations!

You were the one who made me break my personal record: a full month without ordering any cooking-related item.....

but today, February 1st - I placed my first order on amazon.com - simply could not resist this book.....

There... are you happy?

:-)

This is one of my all-time favorite cookbooks, I have recommended it numerous times on this forum over the years. The format takes some getting used to, though it is quite common in French cook books.

I am so glad it has been translated. I'll be giving this often as gifts.

Do you have all of our addresses?  If you send them bulk mail at one time, it will save you a bit on postage.  LOL
