The Cook and the Gardener

evelyn's picture

by Amanda Hesser just came in this morning from Amazon. I bought it at a friend's recommendation but haven't opened it yet as I'm waiting for a quiet couple of hours to savour it...anyone else have it? Tried any recipes?

I read it a few years ago. It's a very good book, a lot more serious than Cooking for Mr. Latte. I don't think I ever made anything from it, but each season opens w/ a different stock-I always wanted to make some of those.

I have both of her books (I think there are only two). Mr. Latte is a fun read, and, as a vegetable gardener, I thoroughly enjoyed the other.
