2 New books in the mail this week

The first is the CIA book of soups.  I'm going to like this one. Nice illustrations, nice variety of soups, good explanation of methods and some nice ideas for accompaniments and garnishes.  All in living color so you can see what it's supposed to look like. A plus for visual learners like me.

The second is (insert drumroll, please) the bound volume of Fine Cooking.  Just in time for some last minute Christmas goody  making.  Yeah!!

“ But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. ”- Galatians 4:4-5

Yeah!  Do you keep a list of things you want to try?

But, but, it's SUPPOSED to taste like that!

No, but I do go back and review the feedback thread.

I have got to order the bound volumes for 2004 and 2005, but wanted to wait until after Christmas to see if any of my subtle (HAHA) hints have been picked up on.  Did buy the Holiday Cooking and Chicken books today...although I just realized that perhaps the holiday one came with my subscription?  I'm such a doofus.  Too much stress these days and too few brain cells left.

It does come with your subscription BUT, perhaps the Anticook would like to find it rolled up in her stocking!!  There is always someone who would love to have it.

Well, the AntiCook would probably use it to line a hamster cage.  Perhaps younger DD?  I'll give it to someone, as it would cost more in gas to drive back and return it than the magazine cost.  If AntiCook should read this and want it, it's hers!

You're kidding!  I haven't seen it at our local Costco, but will definitely look.

Yes, I got the paperback version for 12 bucks, including S&H. I'll get that much use out of it. We eat soup for lunch every day.
