Is this helpful, or should I stop?

I just moved eight threads over to the Tried and True folder that were not restored there after being lost. All I did was post the links to them. (Maybe someone else knows how to copy the text, and post it.) Is this helpful? Should I keep going, or stop? ML had gathered many T&T's in a post in December, and people have been looking for Tried & True recipes, and I thought it might be good to move them up here before the December thread gets buried or archived. What do you think?

You have done a noble deed. If you have time, I say 'go for it'! and THANKS.

OK, I will continue. Parents visiting for a couple of days now, must dash & get ready, and then "host" them. But will go on as time becomes available. :)

Good work, Mangia! The only thing I would suggest is that if there is already a folder (Desserts, e.g.), you post a dessert recipe there, rather than on the general area. I'm sure Li can easily move it.) Thanks :)

Thanks so much for taking your own time to do this. If you can get some lost threads back in to T&T, it would be much appreciated. It definitely helps.

This is great! Thanks. So as not to mess up the list with a question I am going to post it here and hope Li sees it or you guys can react to it. If we are going to get all this back now is it time to make folders for each category--like "breads", "meats", etc.? Also is it a risk that all will be lost again if the actual recipes are not posted but just links? I guess transferring to our own files is the ticket for things we really want to keep.

There are a few more...

I'd like to post. Speak up, yes or no to the following:

Asparagus Strudel - Chiffonade
Polenta Bread - MC
Vinaigrette, Carolina's Favorite
Maida Heatter's Cinnamon Buns - Sandra
Pie Crust 101 - Mean Chef
Roasted Bacon Pecans - EM
Tomato Provencal - Andy S.

Any more suggestions for the "Tried & True"?

I thought pie crust 101 was already in here? If not, it should be.

You're welcome CM, kai, and Chiff! Thanks for posting, and letting me know. Gretchen, I agree with you. I just don't know how technically to do some of it, and I'm hoping Li will see this, and if she has time, figure out how to restore the actual text. I think your question about possibly losing the links even if they are in this permanent spot is a good one. Luka, do you know?

I also agree that making folders for each category is a really good idea.

Mangia-- nicely done!

I've been copying/pasting the actual recipes into the threads in order to avoid the bad link problem that I come across occasionally, where the original message is deleted and then the link doesn't work.

Thank you for saying so, Tracy. I love my job! My DH would love to trade places with me but I tell him no, way, I did all the hard work (my two girls are now 6 and 4 and are much easier), now you want to reap the rewards.
