Help with MasterCook 6

Jean's picture

Up until now, I've been using an older version of MasterCook that does a really nice job of printing recipes on half sheets.  I just was exploring the print options in V. 6 and cannot find that feature!  Help! Does anyone know if it's possible? What am I missing here? I don't give a rip about adding photos or other fanciness. Just a neat little half sheet recipe that will fit in my little notebook turned personal cookbook.  I suppose I'll have to set it to a custom sized paper and hope my printer will handle it.  (The darn thing ruins as many envelopes as it prints.  Sigh)

Jean, I just saw this. I like the half-sheets also, but the closest way I have found to print them is like a 5x8 card,  A-4 or A-5 on my printer  (landscape mode) and manually cut the sheets of paper in half. I have never found half-sheet paper already cut, so if you have a source, I would appreciate knowing it. I love mastercook, but I think its printing designs are a pain in the butt to really get like I want them. The older versions of Mastercook were easier for me to get the designs I want on the paper size I need. I think my version of MC is 6.0,00,59.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that.  The older version printed a book version on 8x11 sheets that I cut after they were printed. If I had known this was changed on the newer version I never would have bought it. And none of the recipes that are on my 3.3 version will install.  Sheesh.
