Wok - stainless steel or carbon steel (post #70937)
2house67 on Tue, 02/01/2011 - 12:37
Hi,
I have a carbon steel wok that works great and have always had good results with it. However, I need a larger wok than my 14" carbon steel. The only wok that I could find that is larger is a Strauss Tango Stainless Steel Wok. Has anyone used a stainless steel wok and had good results? It is a good wok, (if price is any indicator of quality).
Any thoughts on this. I don't want to use it and be disappointed. Thanks. Josie

Well here are some on Amazon. (post #70937, reply #1 of 2)
Well here are some on Amazon. For you in Denver I would go over to Federal Blvd (I think) to the HUGE and wonderful VIET market and look there, and if not there, at some of the other asian stores. I got the cover to my 14" at an asian grocery here in my town.
WELL, it strikes again. I can't post the link for you. Just search on Amazon. They are about $20 and are the kind of carbon steel that I have that is seasoning wonderfully.
