What a b-day present- French copper (post #55909)

DH took the hint I dropped after a trip to TJ Maxx. I causually mentioned that there were two Mauviel copper saucepans at the local store- incredible.  He went the next day-the saucepans were gone, but he did come throught with this 10 inch  Mauviel Cuprinox saute pan. Yes!   My first piece of really fine cookware.

I did realize this morning that TJ Maxx has lay-away. Why didn't I think of that when I standing there drooling on those saucepans?

I have an 11-inch Mauviel frying pan. We use it all the time for sauteing; it is HEAVY and gets very, very hot.

Enjoy!

PS We got ours at an after Christmas sale at Williams Sonoma a few years ago. Can't remember how much we paid (probably still more than you, LOL) but if anyone wants one-keep an eye on their website. IIRC, it was almost half off their regular price.
