Does anyone know how to get bitter coffee residue from carafes and brew chambers? I tried vinegar, barkeepers friend and all the standard weapons but it didn't even faze it, should I just throw the thing away? thanks, Allen

Lime Away. This stuff is magical. If you have hard water, I do, it makes cleaning the bathroom, kitchen sink so much easier. Removes, lime, rust & scale deposits. Every once in a while( month or two) I put some in my tea kettle, boil, empty, re-boil at least twice (they say only rinse one, but..), this is also good for humidifiers and vaporizers, dishwashers & washing machines. I highly recommend it, & now use 'store brands' instead of the expensive stuff. It works just as well.

Gee, I sound like a commercial, but, hey, anything that can get my bathroom looking great in the least amount of time deserves a plug! (I do not work for this product)

Adele, since that worked so well for Allen, perhaps you might want to consider forwarding this thread to the mfg and see if you can get some $$ for your unsolicited promotion :)

Allen, so glad you tried it! Is this stuff cool or what? If you have hard water, go for it! (Store brands work just as well)

Never thought of that, but I did mention that I now use store brands, don't think they would care for that!

BTW, once, a year or two ago, I had bought some 'Quality Street' candies, they were tinged with white & unappealing. These are only available certain times of the year & I was so disappointed. I wrote a letter, I had never done this before (not write a letter, but complain, they were not cheap) & cut the bar code & taped it to the letter. A month later I had a UPS delivery with two boxes of the candies & an apology letter!

Said something to a co-worker about it & she said she always does this, even if she does like it, just to get free product. I was appalled and never looked at this co-worker in the same light.

Hope they were better!

ITA re the writing whether something is good or not just to get free stuff. Goes against my grain. Still, if your testimony gets someone to buy the product just once, maybe that's worth something to the company.
