Halogen Lights

Husband just installed 4 Halogen lights under our cabinets. Sure helps when one cannot see. They are very small and he cursed all the way installing them. But, they are great. Got them at Home Depot(his favorite store).

Is there a brand name or model you can tell us?? I'd love to know. The friggin' genius who designed this kitchen put the ceiling light in such a place that no matter where you stand, your head-shadow is set firmly in your workspace. Under-cab lights would be great. Thanks for any info you can give...(I'd love to know what they cost if that's not prying.)

You can get single unit fluorescent "light sticks" that hang up under the cupboard and are disposable, they last a long time and are reasonably priced. Try Builders Square etc.

Chiff, they cost about 3 for $20. He threw away the container, but will get back to you. They do need some assembly but work beautifully. He had to install them under a small space and his hands are big!!

i ... He had to install them under a small space and his hands are big!!

I remember how the air turned blue around me when I installed my under-cab can opener. That was 12 years ago and I stay away from stuff like that. Maybe I'll revisit the subject with these lights!!

Jean, are these battery driven?

I installed - or I should say - had my electrician install semi recessed halogen track lighting in a rectangle over my counters. I move the lights as needed to keep my shadow off stuff. I actually move them very little because I realized I stand pretty much in the same "spaces" all the time. My counters are deep, however, so I am interested in these "sticks". TIA

No, they are plug-ins.
