Cuisinart Pasta Machine

I have had one of these machines for some time, but am not able to get the consistency of the dough correct.  It takes some time and then it is a struggle.  Any advice on using the machine?  Yes, I know there are you that say these are junk, don't use them, do it by hand, yadda yadda.   I am looking for advice on the machine if you have any.  Thanks.

Hi hollyruthmc,

  What is wrong with the consistency of your dough (too sticky?  too crumbly?) and what recipe are you using? Is the Cuisinart a roller or an extruder?  Don't worry, you won't get a do-it-by-hand from me-- I just bought the pasta roller attachment for my KitchenAid and am thinking about trying homemade pasta for the first time.  Luckily for both of us, we have at least one pasta maven around-- I hope she stops by.
