What's on for NYE?
I'm about to head to Hollywood to check into my hotel. I'm going to the Gricklock LA NYE party on the Paramount Studios lot. They have 12 acres of a of NYC streetscape, 4 stages. Open Bar (yikes) 5,000 people. I have VIP tickets which includes heated tent with chandeliers and stage and buffet. Headliner is Adam Lambert and I am meeting up with fans who flew in from the East Coast and South Africa. Should be interesting!

Been there, done that.
I had a very nice NYE lunch with Ouzo and Mr. Ouzo, and then headed home for a nice night drinking fake bubbles and not able to last the last hour before 12. Watched the 9 o'clock fireworks on tv.

Not sure I could handle a full hour of Adam Lambert, but the rest sounds fascinating.
We received a call Wed. afternoon from some friends in Williamsburg inviting us down for the NYE party of their Wine and Dine group of friends. With nothing else planned, me and momma jumped (that's really an exageration, we really kinda crawled) into the car Thursday am and drove to williamsburg...about 3 1/2 hours.
Had a great time, enjoyed the dinner, the champagne and since we were all old, we celebrated at 11 pm, figuring that it had to be midnight somewhere!
Back home on Friday...great trip.
