Le Florimond  19 av. Lamotte Picquet  Metro Ecole Militaire. Wonderful small neighorhood restaurant. Chef owner. We go every time we are in Paris now since finding it in about 1999. Just a perfect Paris dining experience. Make reservations.

Au Piano Muet  rue Mouffetard  metro Pl. Monge   Raclette, VERY reasonable, grilled meats on raclette, tourtilette (sp.) Wonderful chicken liver salad

Auberge du Jarente   rue Jarente in the Marais. Metro St. Paul near Pl. St. Catherine, I believe.
Basque restaurant . Basically CHEAP.  Wonderful cassoulet, magret. This was our find our last trip. Prix fixe at 20E with a glass of wine. a la carte 11E, for example. DD had a wonderful stewed calamari appetizer that was so tender it was like pasta, in a great garlicky tomato sauce.

Fontaine de Mars. Bistro. a la carte menu  On rue St. Dominique. in the 7th. Not sure of the Metro because we usually walked. I had a wonderful grilled foie gras and DH had cassoulet. Open Sundays but make a reservation a day or more in advance.

Bistro du 7eme, on Blvd.______. Metro ecole Militaire or ______
Very inexpensive menu

Bistro du 17eme

Bistro du Breteuil.

Don't forget RG's recommendation of the Brasserie de l'Ile de St. Louis behind Notre Dame.

eDITED in bold  TO ADD IN CASE ANYONE ELSE USES THIS

Are you going to a concert at Ste. Chappelle. SO beautiful.

Again, NOT Brasserie en Ile - terrible place.

Brasserie de l'Ile St Louis.

Please Gretchen, if you are going to attribute recommendations to me, get the name right :)

I didn't mean to come accross snarky Gretchen, I just reread and realize I left out the emoticon! Sorry!

The other place is just SO abysmal, I really wouldn't want someone to mix them up.

Have a wonderful time!

Had a great meal at Le Violin D'Ingre (which I read about from posters here).
Noticed his place next door looked great and more casual. Les Cocottes
Walking distance from Eiffel Tour, so lovely to go from dinner and see it lit up.

Try to have lunch at Le Comptoir du Relais. (dinner reserved for guests of his inn). Get there just before noon, when it opens, by 5 after there will be a line. Great menu, wonderful food, nice atmosphere.

Gretchen's suggestion of concert at Saint Chapelle is great. You will probably notice signs on the street. They are about an hour long, and timed so the sun is setting behind the stained glass windows.

It will all be good, it's Paris!

Have a great trip - and pack some warm clothes. It is pretty cold in central Europe right now (daytime highs around 55, lows around 40) and the forecast didn't look too promising.

Can you believe Munich was 10°C below Reykjavik (that's Iceland!!) yesterday!

and here I am sweltering!  It was humid beyond belief yesterday.  There's a fresh breeze tonight, which is ever so nice.  We still sleep with the A/C  on. :-(

I'd trade you some cold air for some sun ;-)

Seriously, we've had the woodoven blazing for the past few days, only 12°C during the day and not much sun. Single digit nights. At least we didn't have to scrape the windshields in the morning like friends of ours who live only 15km away, but a little higher up. But the first frost nights are approaching here, too, le sigh.
