Strange e-mail
Today I had a strange email in my inbox, supposedly from a CT member, when really it was nothing but a link to an online store. The text was in English, then in Spanish, no signature. But the sender was a familiar name, the title line read 'Dear friend'. Needless to say I did not click on the link.
Now I am asking myself if I am the only one getting this kind of mail. The only link between the name of the sender and my email account is CT. Makes me wonder......

I received that email, too. (post #68466, reply #1 of 7)
I received that email, too. One of my CT friends on Facebook posted this message:
"Hi guys - if you get an email about some site the sells stuff from me, ignore it please. Something got into gmail today. Le sigh. My mac is fine, but I am not sure what it might do to PC's."
You don't have her listed as a friend on Facebook, but there was some mention about the Delphi forums getting spammed. I'm thinking that's likely as the email had her nickname instead of her real name.

DH gets that kind of mail on a regular basis, together with online pharmacy ads, money making tips, et al. For some reason I never receive any of these, neither on hotmail, nor my regular account that even has my real name as addy. The latest African mail DH received was asking him to come to Burkina Faso to get rich. Yeah, sure.
