So, I'm sure many of you are starting to do all the fun spring things, planting your herb gardens, etc....

I have to say that I am extremely jealous. I am sitting through a small blizzard!!!! Hello up there! It's spring now! You can stop with all this snow!

I know how you feel, Jenninto - we are in the mountains, and i just KNOW if i plant, we'll get more snow.

Last year we were more than halfway thru construction on our deck when we got dumped on.  For years there's been a freak snowstorm on Mother's Day weekend up here. None last year, but Iknowif i go and buy flats, it will happen.

It's killing me not to have an herb garden or flowers. Just the other day my order from Burpee came in - mostly funky sunflowers, but i'm going to try to grow some of those cool french pumpkins - the off white flattened ones. i really doubt we'll get enough sun, but i'll start them indoors. And scarlet runner pole beans - one of my favorites.

I guess I'll just have to transform my living room into my 'greenhouse' for a couple of weeks. I won't let this snow storm get me behind!

Look on the bright side - us folks out here in the prairies have another month to go before we even see buds on the trees.

Yeah, right! Rub it in.

Am I ambivalent?  Well, yes and no.

at this point, a month seems optimistic.

What if there were no hypothetical questions?

We had a blizzard on Sunday night.  By Monday at 10:00 a.m. there was not a trace of snow left on the ground!  Weird season here in the Rockies.  I like my winter in the winter, I'm funny that way.

Spring has sprung. The beaches are filled with Spring Breakers - I don't think I was that young in college. They are here with Daddy's credit/debit card looking for ATM's and dismayed at $4.00 beer but love the $5.00 rum.
