Paralympics

So after the excitement of the Olympics how come nobody here is mentioning the Paralympics? Isn't it shown in North America? Some amazing performances from people who have overcome apparent disadvantage to turn in displays of grit and determination that would put many regular athletes in the shade.

Haven't had any time to watch TV this week but I have read some interesting articles about it, both in the sports section and one on the front page of the main paper.

I haven't heard anything about it.  :-(  It certainly doesn't get the airtime here that the regular Olympics does.

I've been following most of it. Great athletes with lots of willpower! Thank goodness for federal TV channels, they cover a lot of the Paralympics, mention all medals in the hourly news... (The private channels and sports channels do not cover any of it)

Resist the temptation to over-clean. After all, how many times do you need to kill the same germ.

I barely had time to scratch my back this past week - watched the news very late, from the 5pm TiVO stuff. THat's about it.

But I bet it got better coverage in Europe than here

It does indeed get better coverage here in Europe -- the BBC and other channels are full of the paraolympics!  cheers, Bonnie
