Go figure- NH Senate yesterday- Refused to repeal the death penalty- approved gay marriage of sorts, refused to enact seat belt law, limited the Gov.s term to two years, and approved medical marihuana. Try as I might I can't figure which direction they are leaning. Any ideas? Rich

New Hampshire is lucky to have the Hokey Pokey-- here in Illinois, the politicians "Do the Hustle". Sometimes they end up in the Pokey, but that is another story.

I have relatives in the Chicago area - In Park Ridge and around thereabouts.
I've actually met Plantlust a couple of times. She and I met for lunch for the first time about 18 months ago.

I think it's wonderful that they aren't adhering strictly to any party line. It's okay to want the death penalty AND gay marriage-

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Why not :-)
It's just good to see the sort of mix that keeps that throws a wrench into the severely polarized platforms that have become the norm for the 2 party system.

Simple, they are as close to true Libertarians as you can find in the US. It is a wonderful, wonderful place the rest of the nation could learn a lot from.
Edited to add that personally I am staunchly anti-death penalty but that is something they have the right to decide for themselves.

I don't think I would have to read the Concord Monitor to see who voted which way on any one of those issues! The big divide!
