Oh, thank-you all soooo very much,...sniff, sniff....not been around too much as I mentioned this past summer my Dad was going through a very tough time...after enough tests given to him  like he was a lab rat, and two trips to the emergency-always a joy...the conclusion has come to the early stages of Dimentia- oh God did I even spell it right?

So the past few months have been abit of a crazy time-many things to be scared about, although if you met my Dad he seems the same, but just moves at a pace that is just so unlike his usual self....He has lost a bit of muscle strength in his legs, and yet he is not open to any physio or otherwise to strenghthen them up-hmmm still has that streak of stubborness in him...LOL!

He has not driven his car since the summer and my parents finally decided that they would sell his car....my Dad is really taking things in stride. It is me that cries myself to sleep at night, with the fears that I have in my heart and head.

My Mom is quite stressed-of course and is the kind of Mom that thinks things will only happen correctly if SHE does everything herself.....she is angry and scared. At night I cry for her and wish I could make things better for her too.

My Dad is on a medication that is supposed to slow any symptoms of Dymentia (maybe that's the spelling:). Let's hope that this illness gets good and lost on it's way to my Dad's home!!!

I sure have missed being around all of you, and I just had to let you know that your birthday wishes for me just made my day so special. I am a little nervous these days as I am going in for surgery at the end of the month- instead of supersizing- I am downsizing the upper torso...LOL!! If only that surgeon could put a hole in my head and suck out all my fat cells- now THAT would be a successful surgery...hehehe!!!!

God bless you for thinking of me....and Happy New Year to all of you!!! You are full of kindness!!!

p.s of course I have a food question....you have about a cup of Chestnut puree from Provence-what would you make????? Ideas anyone????

I am downsizing the upper torso.

My sister did that a few years ago- if you looked at her sideways you'd wonder how she stood straight.  She got it done on her insurance, as she had deep welts in her shoulders from the bra straps and her back was constantly sore.  This was when she wasn't carrying a lot of weight- the straps were doing something to her shoulders that would of been permanent.  ANYWAY, months later she was walking across the office at work and sneezed.  All the feeling came back all at once in the 'sensitive' area and she almost passed out from the 'glory' of it.  hahahahahaha!

Good for you for doing it, you'll feel better physically and emotionally.

LOL!!!

I have wanted to do it for a while ,but was just really nervous.

The tipping point was when two things happened...first- I got measured properly for a bra and she told me what I REALLY was, well, after I recovered from the shock of that, I figured it was time. The second thing was that one day I almost killed myself when, trying to get out of the tub, I leaned over really , really fast and almost fell out of my tub and down the stairs that it sits on. And finally, I guess there really is a third reason, I was certain that one day they would find me suffocated in my sleep by my own chest..LOL!

My back has been hurting for a long while, and it was covered by OHIP here. Instead of a four hook girl, I may finally experience what it feels like to be a TWO hook girl!!! LOL

You gave me a chuckle-thanks for easing my anxiety...:)

So sorry to hear of your dad's problems.  It's dementia, by the way.  My mom had it for years before she passed away, actually was suffering from it before we accepted that was the problem.  For some reason, you don't want to think that someone you love is losing it.  Hope things get better for all of you.
