The inconceivable happened....

SallyBR1's picture

grab your smelling salts, take deep breaths, this might shock you beyond recovery

I do not know how this could be possible, but I managed to let my FC subscription expire

No number 93 will be arriving at my door.

I don t know how to cope with this. I sent the renewal on Wed, but maybe this issue will not be sent.

I'll bet you can find a store that sells them. :)

I am sorry to have caused such emotional distress for you, but I needed to confess so I can erase this horrible, tragic page from my life's history

I'm praying for you, Sally.  You're strong.  I know you'll recover from your transgression.

Didn't someone here say that when they renewed late they got the back issues sent along with the current one when their subscription processed?

You can ask Taunton to begin your new subscription with issue 93 OR find one in a local store.

When or if you do renew, do make it clear what issue you want as your first - otherwise you might receive one you have - this is very common.

You have disgraced Escoffier, Carême, and Julia. The court has sentenced you to have your wooden spoons broken and to be drummed out of the kitchen. You are condemned to cooking only Sandra Lee recipes. Repent and confess your sins in the corner to MadMom.

I don't know if Sally should be allowed in the corner, even though one of the chairs here has the permanent pattern of her butt cheeks.  Still, I shall valiantly try to rebuke her sins and get her back on the straight and narrow path.

We may start calling you Sister Mary Madmom.

We are truly what we eat, and too many people are fast, cheap and easy. Who owns your food owns you, and it is unwise to let that power rest in the hands of a very few wealthy corporations.

I shall repent and confess. I shall hopefully be rebuked. Or are only sins rebuked? Is the sinner rebukable too?

those are philosophical questions that a person who just disgraced Escoffier does not deserve to have answered.

I will now repent and rebuke and whatever else Sister MadMom tells me to do.

Sister MadMom is going to do worse. After your run she will make you eat strawberries and chocolate while sipping on a glass of champagne. Thus negating the health benefits of the run.

Apologies in advance to MadMom.;)

But you realize, of course, that all the strawberries, chocolates, and bubbly we have in the corner is calorie free!

Apparently I was afraid of the same scenario happening in my house, and just kept sending in the reply cards, as my subscription doesn't expire until January of 2011!  I didn't realize the date until recently...  I feel your pain, Sally.

What a great pair we make... :-)

in my defense, I should say that I gave a gift subscription to my friend in NYC, and got some reply cards to renew hers.

I guess I got confused.....

Sally,

I have had that happen a few times and every time I got the issues I missed. I think you will be fine. =)
