Getting rid of the orange colour

that seems to be driving everyone up the wall...

Peter posted these directions in a message to Adele in an earlier complaint thread:

Hi, first you need to download and install Ad Block Plus as an ad on to your browser. And I think it is only for Firefox.

Next right click on an ad. In this case I used the huge TAUNTON on top of the page. You will see toward the bottom of the dropdown menu a reference to AdBlockPlus. Click on that and then choose to activate the custom filter. Voila, the space gobbling TAUNTON is gone. This is reversable also. Now as a by product of this exercise, it turned the hard on the eyes orange to a nice blue. I don't know why this is so. But I am glad it happened.

The AdBlockPlus is a useful tool. Hope this helps.

For IE users, I don't have a fix to offer on the orange typeface but I noticed today on my office machine, which has a glare guard because of the horrid overhead fluorescent lighting, the orange type was really really eyestraining. But on my home monitor, which has no glare guard, it's not as bad. Just an idea.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me. I find that I can't spend much time reading with this awful orange color all over the screen. It's very irritating to my eyes and I start to get a headache. I may drop out for awhile. Hopefully, this mess will all be cleared up eventually. If not, they will lose me and my subscriptions to the website and the magazine.

Participating in a forum should be informative, relaxing and enjoyable. All are in short supply here.

Gives me a headache. I can only last for about 20 minutes to half an hour and I have to get off the site.
