Too too cute! Whatever happened to your baby??

Give that big boy a huge hug from me and tell him I said I'm very proud of what a big boy he's grown into!

Oh - so darn CUTE!

No.  Buddy is still a baby.  Just like my granddaughter who just graduated from college is only 2 years old, and I have the picture to prove it.  Those are my stories, and I'm sticking to them.

(He is toooo cute, though!)

What a great-looking child, with such an expressive face! So wonderful to see the excitement and eagerness in his eyes on the first day of school. Thanks for posting that.

it went well - he couldn't tell me anything they did, but he said he had fun. Adn he went to bed at his new earlier bedtime without a protest.

I have some really cute pics of Buddy and his pal Riley on my facebook page.

So adorable!  How old is Buddy now?  He and my youngest grandson must be about the same age, as Liam started kindergarten this year.  Liam has the same teacher my older grandson had, the one which made Kevin say "I never want to leave Kindergarten.  I just want to stay with her forever."  Maybe crushes on teachers aren't such a bad thing!

Buddy will be 6 in November- he could have started K last year, but the director of his preschool thought he would benefit from another of preschool, and we agreed.

Okay, then he is older than Liam, who turned 5 in May and won't be six until next year.  I couldn't remember.  Gosh, they do age quickly, don't they?

Gorgeous photo! He looks so grown up. <sigh>

My boys start preschool on the 11th. I'm trying to think of an equivalent to your gate so I can co-opt your practice of taking photos on the first day of every school year...if I can remember.

Adorable! And very smart of you to wait that extra year.

In FLorida, kids are not allowed to start kindergarten in public school unless they are 5. I think its a great rule. It lets kids be kids, and doesnt rush them along so much!

Enjoy Kindergarten.

Wow!  He's beautiful.  We kept DS (December baby) back a year too, and it was a good decision.

Your gate is shrinking at an alarming rate, much like our step:

When I showed that first day of school picture to Anna last night her jaw dropped and she said, "We used to be so CUTE!"  She's now 12, 5'4", and wears size 10 shoes.
