I'd be up for this! Hubby has most enthusiastically volunteered to watch the kidlet for a day. I figured he wouldn't object as he is seriously addicted to rustic breads :-)

Great!!  She needs three or four people for a class..soooo...we have two. Do you know anyone who would be interested? She will not do a class in July or August unless we agree because it is so hot in the kichen. Lets see if we hear from anyone else...Pamilyn

"Out east" to see Chef Robert et al (and get spoiled by his cooking!) Somewhere in the middle we're taking a week's side trip to New Brunswick for our first real getaway (i.e. trip taken for fun rather than to visit family or friends) since our honeymoon 12 years ago. I'm very much looking forward to it!

Weekends would be better, but weekdays are possible. Hubby would have to take a day off work to be with the kid, but he's always looking for an excuse to stay home. :-)

Would be nice! but this is going to be a family getaway. We're not sure how G would do away from us for a week, especially with people he doesn't get to see that often. Besides, Bob and DW are getting too "senior" to be chasing a squirrely toddler for that long. :-) We might be able to negotiate an evening out, though!

You got that right!  DGS would be not too bad, but if his four cousins where here at the same time we would be ready for the home.  LOL  Besides, where you guys are going he should have a blast.  DD, take careful notes on rustic bread baking so you can give us lessons when we are there in September.  Dad

REALLY?  It is good for them.  We keep our grands--good for the parents, kids--and especially the grandparents.

Gretchen, we love looking after our g'kids for short periods.  Here in MA we have four and when they are all together they are a handful, well, actually four hands full.  The oldest, at nine, is not problem, but the youngest two can be TROUBLE!  Unfortunately, we do not see G often enough, so, at three, it takes him a day or so to warm back up to us.  One thing that is certain, after a few hours with the younger ones we are ready for a nap!  Bob

Boy are you pushy!!  What is the cut-off date by which you would have to know?  Dad, aka Bob

No..... not so pushy really!! Just know you would enjoy yourself. I don't think there is a cut off date. If you show up just pay your money. We will just have to keep it to our 5 and hold spot number six for you, if you do come. I am sure she would like to know a week or so ahead since breakfast and lunch is included in the price. Her bakery is located in the beautiful rolling Baraboo Hills....Very pretty.  Think about it!! Pamilyn

Well, I was a gardening fool yesterday and never got online at all. That's where I was.

I'd be interested in doing this, but childcare would be an issue for me. So, it would depend on when you wanted to do it. My husband (my childcare) works from Saturday afternoon to Sunday morning. So, weekends are pretty well shot. He also does an overnight on Tuesday, so Wednesdays are also out. I could probably do a weekday, depending on when. Work has been pretty slow lately.

Side note - Elizabeth - it looks like Sunday is supposed to be decent weather (okay, chance of rain, but warm at least). So... should we try again to get the kidlets together?
