Big surprise tonight!

SallyBR1's picture

Hubby was a bit mysterious about a special dinner out tonight - well, after a nice sushi, he took me to see the B52s!!!!

I had no idea they were going to be playing in town tonight!

they were great! Mesopotamia, Love Shack, Rock Lobster, Planet Clair, Rome.... Quiche Lorraine etc etc - and some of their new CD. Of course they look old, but so did the audience :-)

I danced pretty much non-stop for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Now, if you guys excuse me, I am going to take a couple of Aleve and crash on the sofa. Grandma is getting a bit old for these excesses.

Wow, I can't believe the B-52s are still around!  That takes me way, way back.

Love Shack is played at every single wedding we go to--great for dancing. It's also in the rotation during the aerobic part of my barre class.

Cool! "Roam" started playing in my head as soon as I read B52s! They made such upbeat music.

Love the B-52's. And your husband, too.

I'll be singing it all day long and my kids will just stare at me like I've lost my mind.

Oooh, fantastic! We're going to their performance here in Tucson at the end of June! Glad to hear it was a great show!

Were there cool lights and videos? We just went to The Crystal Method last night (electronica) and they had a FANTASTIC light show.

No, the show did not have particularly nice lights or any video - it was in a huge (and I mean) huge Casino that opened in town a few years ago. One of the largest in the country, if you can imagine that.

we hate the place - but they have shows that are worth going to. Kid Rock, for instance, which we did not go because we felt a little too old for that.
