I have, for the most part, made Jasper White's chowders but I wonder if I am missing some other great recipes that some of you like.

So sorry that this site is all but abandoned.

RDA/Robyn still doesn't get it...What happened to this site was totally unnecessery and I believe that it is gone forever along with Fine Cooking subscriptions.

Robyn, this is so ridiculous I hung in as long as I could, but for God's sake, there is no excuse for what has been done here, and all of us are sick and tired of the sorry excuses that you have put forth.

I'm with Sally...byebye and perhaps my subscriptions to the site and the magazine as well.

Delphi doesn't seem to be part of Fine Cooking...

No, it isn't. Since you (post #69091, reply #8 of 9)

No, it isn't. Since you weren't at the forum previously, it used to be VERY VERY active, with multiple topics being discussed at one time. Taunton changed the platform, and pretty much destroyed the ability for posters to communicate in an easy manner. THAT is what they are working on with the list on the right.
So an alternative forum was set up on Delphi which uses the old format--user friendly. Many of us hang out over there until it is seen if they will ever get this forum to a user friendly point again. LET BE NOTED--NO ONE is asking for this forum to be turned into the "old" one. But this format--which was launched with NO TESTING--is a disaster in many ways.
Some several of us poke back and forth--others are totally fed up and won't try again until it is "possibly" fixed.
You are certainly welcome to join in at Delphi.
Many of us feel GREAT loyalty to Taunton and especially Cooks Talk. And many of us feel that Taunton did not exactly value that when they launched this with no communication.
If you would enjoy seeing how vibrant a community used to be here, try Delphi.
It is really quite unique--many of us have travelled pretty great distances to "reune/fest" with others on the board.
