Cannot find the recipe for Spaghetti alla Cabonara that is listed with so many good reviews. It appears that the recipe is made without cream...and all reviews seem to be quite positive. Please send recipe if you have it.

Would you care to recommend one? I like the FC one, so if there is better, I am prepared to be gobsmacked.

I cannot access the recipe on the website, and I seem to have temporarily misplaced issue #92. Is the Carbonara recipe from issue #43 good?
I have always meant to try making this dish. Will have to make it one day soon. :-)

Real carbonara has no cream. Pasta, onions, bacon, eggs, cheese, only.
I've not seen the onions (post #68981, reply #3 of 11)
I've not seen the onions before.

Me either, but there are so many recipes out there...
I've never really thought (post #68981, reply #8 of 11)
I've never really thought about variations, it just seems so classically simple, adding anything would just ruin the balance, or at least change it to another dish. I can't get guanciale so I use pancetta. I agree, I like the classic carbonara with just a hint of crushed red pepper for me.
I have to go shopping today for everything since I finally am home for a long period of time, so carbonara might be on the menu (DH's favorite)unless I can find some good lamb for lamb burgers.
I intended to try the burgers at Kouzzina (Cat Cora's), but I was swayed by the slow cooked lamb shank and the whole fish. DD got the fish and I the lamb so we shared.
Not much, a small one, fine (post #68981, reply #7 of 11)
Not much, a small one, fine dice cooked in the pork fat.
