What is good main dish to make in a pressure cooker? I got one for Christmas.

Beef stew. Look in the cookbook that came with it and get a recipe. I am just finishing up a bean and barley soup in mine to serve for a dinner with a salad. I'll probably add some cut up Italian chicken sausage or smoked turkey sausage. I make a lot of soups for main dishes. The beef stew is ready in 30 minutes. pretty amazing.

Thanks for the suggestion. I made "beef stew with orange and rosemary." In addition to the orange peel and rosemary, it called for a bouquet garni in cheesecloth. Next time I will put the orange peel into the cheesecloth, too, to make it easier to fish out before serving.

Any cookbook by Lorna Sass will make you LOVE LOVE LOVE your pc. My favorite recipe of hers is the gumbo. The beef stew and pot roasts are amazing. I use my pc constantly for brown and wild rice combo. Done in 25 minutes.
