coconut macaroons

I have tried a couple of recipes of coconut macaroons.  The problem I have had is that they are so liquidy and then there is a puddle at the bottom of each ball.  Does anyone have a recipe that they have used and liked?  I know I can google it but I wanted a recipe that someone has tried.

The recipes I've made are Martha Stewart and Barefoot Contessa.

Or, I would welcome suggestions as to how to reduce the puddle at the bottom.
