I saw from the website that there is also a video tutorial on dumplings-- I am very excited to see the new issue! It is cold here in Chicago, so I am looking forward to some good cooking projects.

I got mine a couple of days (post #68726, reply #2 of 10)

I got mine a couple of days ago and I have to say I was very impressed!

seemed like the "old days" when there is a lot I want to make from the magazine -

I just don't understand why they did cassoulet again, but maybe it is such a classic that it merits re-visiting every few years - their former article on it was simply outstanding

Cooking class? Way cool, is this like they have had before? Step by step with pictures? Sounds like it's going to be a good issue.

I can't wait to get mine.

But, but, it's SUPPOSED to taste like that!

I got my 103 today and it is very good. There was more I wanted to make in the previous two issues, but this one looks great. My first recipe is going to be Ellie Kreiger's blueberry muffins-- I used to find her really annoying, but that autumn vegetable soup was so good-- now I am a fan.

This is a great issue. I don't know how they got all that good stuff in there with all those huge photos that take up the whole page.

Re: the cassoulet. It seems like the last article was just a few years ago, if that. But the way my memory works, it might have been ten or fifteen years ago.

I haven't checked in on the progress here for a while. I intended to direct this message to ALL, but that option is gone. I was further confused when I couldn't figure out how to Reply, there being no REPLY button. Also, the Forum Status Update column is obscuring a bit of the central column, grrrr. And...I thought that one of the initial responses to the font color problem was that it could easily be changed. But it's still orange. Arrrrrrg.

Yeah! I got mine on Saturday (post #68726, reply #7 of 10)

Yeah! I got mine on Saturday and it feels just like old times, way to go!

I remember the cassoulet from before too, but that was because I boned my first duck for it.

But, but, it's SUPPOSED to taste like that!

Now, if only they turned this site into an outstanding site once again...

I am/was shocked by how little advertising there is in this issue.
Has circulation collapsed? I doubt it.
Are we (the readers) just worth it? If yes, then I feel insulted.
The problem is that there is no way the magazine can survive without adverts.

The first issue of the year (post #68726, reply #10 of 10)

The first issue of the year always has the fewest ads, just like every other magazine.
