Vancouver mini-fest in August? (post #56905)

Sometime-poster David Fritz is going to be in Vancouver in early August, and we've arranged to meet up for dinner at Ouisi (http://www.ouisibistro.com/), which is new to us, but not to Dave. Anyone else care to join us for an evening of CT chit-chat, good food, and probably a glass or two of wine? Menu looks enticing, and we all know that when CTers get together, the conversation is bound to be good.

I'm in. I haven't been very active on CT lately -- work, life, etc., but I always enjoy your company.
P.S. Found out just over an hour ago that I have unofficially been chosen for a new role in my company. I'm finally getting out of marketing! All the overtime and stress during the last year and half paid off. The offer is unofficial because the HR processes are currently in flux and my current and future manager have to work out the transition period. I'm so excited that I think my heart is going to jump out of my chest!

Hi, Everyone,
I've just emailed Darcy Fry, the chef at Ouisi and told him that Sandra, Peter and I will be there for dinner at 6:30 on August 12th. Hope I didn't jump the gun on that.
I've also asked him if there will be any difficulty adding more people later on. As it's still 6:45 Vancouver time as I post, no reply yet from Darcy, but I will post again as soon as I hear.
I'm really looking forward to meeting some more CTers. My wife and I had such a good time at Vij's with Vancouverfest III in '04.
Cheers,
Dave Fritz

Hi, again,
Darcy wrote back. We have a reservation for three, with a note that there may be more. He says that since it's a Tuesday there should be no problem accommodating us.
Cheers,
Dave Fritz

I'd love to join you as well. Do you think that this is a restaurant that can accomodate someone with Celiac Disease? (that would be me)

Not Dave, but I think it would be worth a phone call to the restaurant.
