sniff sniff - duck liver for me or Li?? Hmmmm - you don't do shrimp, either, right? ;-)

Okay, Wolvie...you can sit next to cookimonster and I'll pass my shrimp over.  Now I have to find something for Li, although after that salmon comment of hers...

Oh my, this is getting terribly confusing.  I shall just throw whatever I don't eat up in the air and watch you all dive for it.  (Except for what I discretely hand to Max; we don't want him banished to Starbucks!)

Sure! no food fight, though.
I'm sure we can find plenty of other trouble to get into!

And since I'm a lightweight in the drinking department, I'll still offer to trade you wine for things you don't like to eat. I think I offered first, way back in the beginning of this thread....

I'm off tomorrow, and Monday, too, I think. Don't be making all kinds of deals about trading food and wine until I get back.

MC....how right you were not telling us the menu! Good idea Aussie.  I will bring an oilskin cape.

Boy, bet they'll invite us back! Mean, you didn't give them your real name when you made the reservations, did you?

ashleyd,

Thanks for asking. As my brother is fond of saying "Excuses are like bumholes: Everybody's got one and they all stink." Here is mine for missing the major dine-outs; Saturday night sounds great but I would have to skim off my grocery allowance for a year in order to swing that price. Friday nights Chinese dinner sounded great but we (DW and & 4 kids) have a Halloween Party that night and I do not have enough "Relationship Karma Points" to swing leaving DW with 4 kids jacked up on sugar and in full costume.

Is there a time when everyone is getting together for drinks? Maybe Sat. afternoon, 4ish, or something like that? I'll keep lurking.

We can make time.    If you can get  to the lobby/bar part of the Hyatt then, I'm sure a whole bunch of us will too.

It's the Hyatt bar then. 4pm, Saturday, unless otherwise instructed. I'll be the large gentleman, all dressed in black(I'm told it's slimming, but the missus says I look like an eclipse), with either a pint of beer or a very large Gin and Tonic, depending on that mornings soccer game. Until then,

We'll be looking for you el grande!  I get in about noon time, so I might have to cruise down a bit early to try to save you a seat.  I'll be the gorgeous lady with the gray hair (okay, the dumpy old broad).  I'll probably wear my Meaniefest T-shirt just to be sure to attract attention.
