Madison Micro-Fest

DeannaS's picture

It's hardly a fest at all, but in case there are others in the area that are interested in joining, ChefRobert, Fran, Sanderson, Pamilyn, Elizaram and myself are all meeting on the landing of the steps to the capitol at the top of State Street, near the cowpiary, at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday to do the farmer's market together.

Anyone in the area is welcome to join in.

Um...none of us have stalkers or anything right?....I'm hoping it was safe to post this.... :)

Me, too...I had such a grand time in Madison at MidWest fest.  We need to do that again.

Can't make it this Saturday....might this become a semi-regular meeting?

Well it came up because ChefRobert and Fran are visiting from out of town. But, I'm sure the rest of us could probably be convinced to do it again on another day. Typically, our family goes a bit later than 8:00, because getting the wee one up and ready to face the day and out the door can sometimes be challenging (though "sparkly cookies" and fresh cheese curds are a big incentive). :)

Deanna, is Soren coming? I've already arranged for Grant to stay home with DH, since he's not fond of group outings to the market (I'm an efficient shopper when by myself, but groups tend to move much more slowly and he gets bored). But if he had a buddy there, I'm sure he'd have a good time.

Yep, he's definitely coming, as is Aaron. I think we'll most likely just leave right from there. So, we won't actually be buying much other than his "sparkly" cookie. He does pretty well, though I can guarantee at least one trip into the capitol for the bathroom will be required (just so he can say "bah!" and hear it echo). We could probably drop Aaron and the boys on the lawn for play time at some point, too.

Now I know why DH liked the capitol building so much!  LOL

I'm sorry this trip can't be another full Midwest Fest... We had such a great time with you all!  But, since we're coming in so E and I can "do" the Bead&Button Show today, It will be great to add a microfest to the agenda.  We would definitely be up for another Midwest Fest, though, in the near future.

Well, we met at the capitol building and "did" the farmers market, more or less together. It was so crowded, we kept losing track of each other! (Tourists!... mumble... mutter...) Unfortunately, Sanderson didn't make it. :o( (Where were you, girl?) Since Deanna & fam. & Pamelyn and hubby all needed to be off, that's all we got to do, but it was a lot of fun seeing them again.
