Trader Joes is open!!

pamilyn's picture

Just opened yesterday. Whooo Hoooo. Can't wait to try the greek style yogurt. I want to compare it to my farmers market yogurt. The cheese department was just full of yummy wiscosnin cheese, some of which are hard to find in the regular stores. Should be a good adventure. Pamilyn

My sentiments exactly!

Lucky Wolvie! Now, if you find a decent fish-monger nearby, we'll have to find new things to spend money on when you visit. ; )

there is a good fish monger - 2 in fact. One in Raleigh and one in Durham. YOU can spend money here quite readily when YOU visit.

Not that I won't make the trip to Philly, which you know too well. ;-)

On yesterday's trip to Trader Joe's (I hate to gloat, but I have 3 within 5 miles of me) I picked up a new product--TJ's Pretzel Slims. They look like pretzel road kill, totally flat. They are great for snacking as is, would make very good dippers. And they have no fat--just wheat flour, sugar, salt, barley malt syrup. 110 calories in 23 of them.

I saw that in the paper and laughed. At first I thought it was Berkeley being Berkeley, but it sounds like they have some legitimate concerns. For starters, more traffic right there is hard to imagine. My son used to go the to TJs on Geary in SF and that was a traffic nightmare.
