Serving temp for Grilled veggies w/ feta (post #71481)
mbear on Thu, 08/18/2011 - 20:06
Greetings:
Regarding the recipe for grilled vegetables w/ feta (#104 pp. 33, 3/2010), should this be served warm, immediately after adding tomatoes and feta, or is room temperature okay? Thanks.

I would say warm (post #71481, reply #1 of 6)
After reading the recipe I would say served warm after you have cut up the vegetables. But room temperature would also be good.
Please report back to know how you liked it :)

I remember that recipe, made it several times. The salad is still warm when I toss in the cheese so it melts just a little, but it is fine a room temperature.
Thanks for your responses. (post #71481, reply #3 of 6)
Thanks for your responses. I'm making it this evening and will attempt to serve it just after tossing in the feta, if I can get my timing down with the rest of dinner! Thanks again.
Personally I would think it (post #71481, reply #4 of 6)
Personally I would think it would be just as good at room temp. And easier to time. Make it easy on yourself.

In essence room temperature (post #71481, reply #6 of 6)
By the time that you are done, the veggies are at room temp, key is to quickly chop, add the cheese for a little melt, step further, big cheese chunks, break over hot veggies. Thanks Gretchen, how was you beach vacation? Looking at Irene.. . "It's now to November", wasn't that and Elvis song? I know, the real song. but my version is so much more real at this time.
I thought the verification would be gone, but not.
