Good Grief! some of those places I've never heard of! but I must admit that maps have changed considerably since I took Geography. :-)

LOL Jean! The maps change daily, as do the names of the countries! I remember meeting someone only ~10 years back who said he was from Persia. Well, that's not on the map anymore because it's now Iran. (It was during the most recent Iran vs. U.S. war, so I can forgive him for not wanting to aggrevate things if I were the type--which I'm not--to get aggrevated by stuff like that.)

Things change so fast, it's hard to remember who's-is-what's-is. The other day day I said something about the Soviet Union....ooops! I mean Russia, I mean........Glad I'm a plain old housewife, and not a map maker.

LOL Carolina, and to think that when I skipped 5th grade, I missed all the geography stuff. Boy, little did I know that would be a viable career down the road! (In 4th grade, however, I could map every Indian tribe in the U.S.! Sadly, I did not then grasp the political significance of the territories we "gained" by "manifest destiny." )
