Does your microwave have a (post #70466, reply #1 of 3)
Does your microwave have a defrost feature by any chance? If so, thaw it in there and proceed as usual.
If not, I'd blast it w/ high heat in the oven to get it thawed as quickly as possible. Take it out of the oven after 15 or 20 minutes and butterfly it. (I assume you are talking about a whole chicken.)

yesterday i had no more time to reply.....i don't own a micro at all, so i intuitevily followed your second tip - had to get that bird in the oven by 5 pm.used the classic roast chick recipe from fc which calls for a 2 pd. bird ( mine was 1-1/2) and added another 1/2 hour. went out beautiful looking and perfectecly moist and tender. and whith a little surprise: stuffing made of a little plastic bag with the innards - i couldnt remove that when the bird was frozen :-) but the plastic didn't melt so i assumed it was ok. i'd still buy fresh chicks whenever possible but if you can't get none this seems so be a fine substitute. thanks to you, marie, might get a micro now!
