Looking for a Rock & Rye Recipe?

Back in the 50's & early 60's my Dad used to make Rock & Rye for Christmas. It was delicious. It's an alcoholic beverage made with rock candy, rye, oranges and ?? Does anyone have this recipe--I'd love to make it. Thanx!

I went to a site called and found these two recipes after searching both Rock and Rye and Rock Candy (as an ingredient). It appears Rock and Rye is a pre-mixed combination of ingredients necessary to make the drink. Check out your local liquor store (or if you have one, a large liquor chain).

c Rock And Rye Cocktail

c Ingredients:

c 1 oz Rock and rye
c 1 oz White port
c 1 1/2 tsp Dry Vermouth

i Mixing instructions:

Stir all ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.

Here is the other one...This is a hot drink.

c Rock-and-Rye Toddy

c Ingredients:

c 2 oz Rock and rye
c 2 dashes Angostura bitters
c 1 slice Lemon
c 3 oz Water , boiling
c 1 stick Cinnamon
c Nutmeg, grated

i Mixing instructions:

Pour rock and rye and bitters into coffee mug. Add lemon slice. Add boiling water and cinnamon stick. Stir. Sprinkle with grated nutmeg.

and added the embellishment of rock candy himself?
