Would you believe: mix cream cheese 50%, gorgonzola 50% or to your taste. Add pest and keep tasting until you like the taste. There is really no set formula.

I think I saw something like this, but with the pesto layered between the mixed gorgonzola and cream cheese. Does this ring a bell or sound reasonable to you? I can't remember where I saw it. I think it was done in multiple layers in a bread pan, then unmolded and served with crackers, crostini, etc.

There is a set formula. It's 1/2 gorganzola and 1/2 cream cheese. I like to spread the pesto on to after I blend the mixture. Also, a little garlic powder makes is fabulous.

Something similar, and might be what you're remembering: Cream Cheese Torta, Fine Cooking #9, p. 43. There's no gorgonzola in the recipe, but there's no reason you can't add it, either.
