Jean Georges' Apple Confit

Risottogirl's picture

Yesterday morning I was at the gym and Regis and Kelly was on the tv. Jean Georges Vongerichten was  a guest and he made  a dessert he calls Apple Confit.

It is very similar to Anne Willian's Apple Galette, only less fussy - made in a loaf pan and then sliced. He plated it with sour cream,  a tiny piece of pound cake and green apple granita.

I am definitely going to try it and see how it compares.
