A culinary trip down memory lane (post #71641)

I recently went down to Mexico to visit my folks. I enjoyed their company as much as I enjoyed the food! So here is a sampling of photos of my culinary journey :)

Hey, only one of the photos came through-- the one where you're eating a taco.  Looks like you're having a great time though! Good time to travel, before all the school kids go on vacation and the fares go through the roof. So, what was your favorite dish?

Cheers, Jen

Sigh (post #71641, reply #2 of 7)

I guess I'll have to try again...sigh.  The trouble is that I keep all our photos in the older computer and it takes a while to boot it up and upload...hopefully I'll have time today or tomorrow.  I did have a good time and weather was perfect.  It is hard to pick a favourite but I would have to say empanadas are one of my favourites.

Inserted (post #71641, reply #3 of 7)

It gave me the option of inserting them this time.  Let me know if you still can't see them.

I see them now, the food looks amazing!  We get some good Mexican food here in Chicago, but I am just wowwed by the spread here!  And by the way, you are quite lovely!

Cheers, Jen

De-lucious (post #71641, reply #6 of 7)

I could drink the salsas and it certainly looks like you had a great food adventure.  I was craving a "taco pizza" one night and just had to come up with a rather quick recipe, thank goodness for FC easy pizza dough in the freezer.  That is the entire extent of my "Mexican" cooking lately, but I'll come up with something for the end of the week.

YUM! (post #71641, reply #7 of 7)

Pizza looks awesome! I have to admit that at home I RARELY cook mexican food.  It is just too much work and a large quantity that we never finish.
