Costco/ Mortons of Omaha Tri Tip

bwf17's picture

I recently purchased a Mortons of Omaha Steakhouse Classic Tri Tip which is in a marinade.

I want to take it sliced thinly to a party, but think it may need some extra sauce/marinade to put on top.

Has anyone ever tried this?  What type of sauce would go with it?

Thanks,

Mary

It is not in the recalled items.

I guess I will have to abort this plan.  Any sauce I can find that may complement the tri tip should really be served warm and it is an outdoor picnic.

How about a horseradish or mustard sauce?

The marinade is very heavy on red wine, so I wasn't sure what would complement it that was not warm...all I could find were red wine sauces that should be warm.....what do you think?.

If it is heavy in red wine it may be over marinated anyway. I think that tends to sort of mush up the meat.

No it is not too heavy, just has a lot of red wine powder in with the marinade.....I wish I could have just found a plain one.  I love the Sicilian Sauce I use on the plain one....oh well.

Oh, I see. It isn't in the marinade in the case. YOu mix it?  Just make some more red wine marinade with something else maybe?
