chinese sweet&sour dipping sauce

Does anyone have a good recipe for a sweet and sour sauce?  I love the one they serve with the potstickers at Big Bowl.

Potstickers do not want to be served with sweet & sour sauce. LOL

I know, I know.  But it makes those Trader Joe's potstickers so delectable.  A little bit of hot mustard sauce, a little dab of s&s and I have a savory lunch.

Make the peanut lime vinaigrette in T&T --or a peanut sauce.

we have someone looking for your version of Old Bay seasoning - do you still have it?

1 - measure the board twice, 2 - cut it once, 3 - measure the space where it is supposed to go        4 - get a new board and go back to step 1

Bottled Teryaki with a small amount of seseme seed oil blended in . We had this yesterday for a pot luck at work, wonderful taste.

Would that be the same thing as the pink stuff they serve with sweet & sour chicken at Chinese(-American) restaurants? :-) If so, here's a recipe from the original Joyce Chen Cookbook:

Sweet and Sour Sauce

1 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 clove garlic, crushed
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup catsup
1/3 cup water or pineapple juice
1/2 cup cider vinegar
2 Tbsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp cornstarch

Heat the oil in a small saucepan. Brown the garlic clove in the oil and discard. Add the sugar, catsup, water or juice, vinegar, and soy sauce, and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Dissolve the cornstarch in 1/3 cup cold water; pour into the boiling mixture in a thin stream, stirring constantly. Boil and stir for 1 minute, then remove from the heat.
