I just gave up trying to "search" this. MC, all I need to know is can I substitute regular espresso for instant, if so how much. I have your recipe already, just need this info. Thanks

I don't know except it probably won't dissolve as easily. I would grind it as fine as possible and just use it or dissolve in as little hot water as possible. You will have to experiment.

See if you can find Medaglia D'Oro instant espresso someplace. It's excellent in cases where you need instant to combine with a recipe. (Pronounced Muh-dalia-doro. Not Muh-dag-li-a-dee-oro.)
